| GOIANIA, Brazil – Firefighters in Jaragua on Tuesday captured a baby alligator that was in the backyard of a residence. A spokesman for the local fire department told terra.com.br that the animal was rescued “utilizing appropriate techniques.”

The alligator showed no signs of aggression and was released in an ecological reserve on the banks of a river in the region.
According to Wikipedia, Jaragua is "Considered to be the national capital of the clothing industry, Jaraguá is in the Vale do São Patrício on the important Belém-Brasília highway (BR-153). It is 124 km (77 miles) from the state capital of Goiânia and 230 km (143 miles) from the federal capital of Brasília. Anápolis, the second largest city in the state of Goiás, lies 90 km (57 miles) to the south."
