Miss Brazil 2010 Released from Hospital

| VITORIA, Brazil – Miss Brazil 2010, Debora Lyra, was discharged from the hospital on Thursday afternoon in Vitoria. She will be staying at the home of her parents while she recovers from a horrifying head-on collision on December 27th, which claimed the life of her boyfriend's mother. Her boyfriend, Hermon Souza Lopes, was also released from hospital on Thursday.

Debora's father, Luiz Fernando Lyra, told G1 that his daughter is talking and eating well, although she walks carefully. For medical reasons, she needs to stay at home for 30 days while she recovers. She will spend that time at the home of her father who lives in greater Vitoria.

The former Miss Brazil is still undergoing physical therapy sessions but is expected to recover all of her mobility. She and her boyfriend saw each other Thursday morning, while still in the hospital but before being released. Hermon Lopes is recovering with his family.
