Greenpeace Protest at Brazil's Congress

| BRASILIA – The international environmental group Greenpeace used green lasers to implore the Brazilian president to veto the new Brazil Forest Code. The group wrote 'Greenpeace' and 'New Forest Code – Veto Dilma,' in green laser light on the towers of the congress building, reported online media.

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff has until 25 May to sign or veto the rewrite of Brazil's Forest Code. The new code rolls back protections against deforestation in the Amazon and other areas. It also offers wide-ranging amenities for illegal deforestation.
